Bhagwan Swaminarayan, also known as Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan, was a spiritual leader who founded the Swaminarayan Sampraday, a Vaishnava Hindu tradition focused on devotion to God. He was born in Chhapaiya, near Ayodhya, in 1781 and is considered by his followers to be an incarnation of God. He established a socio-spiritual movement emphasizing dharma, bhakti (devotion), and social reform.
